The projection screen at the Grand Hyatt Seattle is Widescreen format. To project Standard (4:3) format slides on the Widescreen projection screen, the slides must be reduced in size until the full height is visible….which makes it very difficult for anyone seated in the back half of the conference hall to read many of your slides.

The good news is: The default slide size in all recent versions of PowerPoint is Widescreen (16:9). However, if you have already prepared your slide presentation in Standard format, please try to reformat to Widescreen, your audience will greatly appreciate it!

To do this: Make a duplicate copy of your slides, click on the Design tab, select Widescreen (16:9), then go through each slide carefully. Everything will be shifted, especially in slides with lots of detail.
